GDS 240 - Web Design 3 Credit(s)
Emphasis on web page design & development. Topics include the conceptualization and construction of a variety of web sites, including individual pages, HTML, email, animation, etc. Implementation of all aspects of graphic design will play a part in the overall class. This is a continuation of student design studies, applying graphic concepts to the interactive Web.
Prereqs: GDS 210 with a grade of C or better Course Type: Studio/Performance Tuition Tier: Base Delivery Method: In-Person, Remote CORE42 MOTR Number - Name: MOTR PERF 105GA - Studio Art - Graphic Arts Course Learning Outcomes: CLO 1) Students will utilize basic creative interface web design concepts for visual website presentation, navigation, and structured visual layouts optimized for digital viewing.
CLO 2) Students will solve visual problems within the web environment using the elements and principles of design.
CLO 3) Students will employ basic user interface design principles and produce typographical solutions such as font pairing, typographical hierarchy, and color palettes for web themes.
CLO 4) Students will implement visual assets and content like photography, illustrations, typography, color, and fonts to support communication and visual narratives.
CLO 5) Students will construct basic website diagramming, concepts, wire framing, and layouts, including web banner ads and animations/motion graphics.
CLO 6) Students will design and structure their sites prioritizing usability and dynamic visual site design.
