CAD 237 - Structural Drafting With Revit 3 Credit(s)
In this course, students will perform structural shop drawings using the most current version of Autodesk Revit, achieve conceptual understanding of structural design and economic considerations, acquire understanding of steel grades and shapes, learn framing elements, use critical tables, and use reference materials for structural designs.
Prereqs: CAD 107 with a passing grade Course Type: Lecture Tuition Tier: Tier I Delivery Method: In-Person, Remote, Flex Course Learning Outcomes: CLO 1) Students will identify various structural steel shapes & joist.
CLO 2) Students will explain the expectations of a Structural drafter/designer.
CLO 3) Students will analyze of how Architectural schematics are used for Structural design.
CLO 4) Students will create various Structural detail drawings (i.e. Beam to Column Connections).
CLO 5) Students will evaluate print reading of Structural drawings.
CLO 6) Students will describe anchor bolts and their purpose.
