CAD 257 - MEP Drafting with Revit

This course covers the concepts, principles, and applications of 3D parametric modeling and computer-aided design using Autodesk Revit software. Students will create, document, and print mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) components within a shared multi-user model structure. The curriculum includes applications relevant to construction, architecture, industry, and engineering.

Prereqs: CAD 107  with a passing grade

Course Learning Outcomes:
CLO 1) Students will model comprehensive 3D building systems (MEP and architectural) using Autodesk Revit.

CLO 2) Students will generate professional construction documents from Revit models.

CLO 3) Students will collaborate effectively within shared Revit project environments.

CLO 4) Students will integrate various building components and peripherals within Revit.

CLO 5) Students will document architectural and MEP components relevant to commercial, factory, and industrial building types.

CLO 6) Students will demonstrate proficiency in Revit for BIM creation and output.
