CPT 261 - VR Application Development With Unity 3 Credit(s)
In this course, students will use Unity to learn the fundamentals of designing and developing Virtual Reality (VR) applications. Whether they want to create an interactive walkthrough of an ancient ruin, a product configurator for a car manufacturer, a simulator for operating dangerous machinery, or any other experience, this course will help them bring those ideas to life in VR. During the course, students will be guided through creating their own unique VR project from start to finish, beginning with a blank design document and ending with a fully functional project. Students will also gain the requisite skills and confidence to pass the “Unity Certified User: VR Developer” exam should they choose to take it.
Prereqs: CPT 161 Course Type: Lecture Tuition Tier: Tier I Delivery Method: In-Person Course Learning Outcomes: CLO 1) Students will set up a VR project.
CLO 2) Students will add interaction to a VR project.
CLO 3) Students will optimize the performance of a VR project.
CLO 4) Students will manage a VR project from start to finish including outlining the concept, setting project milestones, and tracking progress.
