CPT 181 - SQL Programming 3 Credit(s)
Extensive hands-on activities using in-class SQL-based relational database to transform request into SQL query. How to create and test increasingly complex queries, how to build tables using data definition capabilities of SQL, how to create views for querying and manipulating data, and how to index in SQL database.
Prereqs: BTC 103 or CPT 135 Course Type: Lecture Tuition Tier: Tier I Delivery Method: In-Person, Online Course Learning Outcomes: CLO 1) Students will create and run SQL commands to create update and query tables.
CLO 2) Students will identify the database administration features of SQL.
CLO 3) Students will utilize integrity constraints to control data entry.
CLO 4) Students will create basic and complex reports based on data in a table or view.
CLO 5) Students will embed SQL into other programming languages.
