FRN 202 - French Conversation & Composition 4 Credit(s)
Intensive focus on conversational skills, grammar review, and composition. Exploration of role of French in North America.
Prereqs: FRN 201 or 2 years minimum high school language study. Course Type: Lecture Tuition Tier: Base Delivery Method: In-Person, Remote Course Learning Outcomes: CLO 1) Students will recognize key grammatical structures in French and compare them to equivalent English forms.
CLO 2) Students will understand spoken and written French in familiar and structured contexts, identifying both main ideas and specific details.
CLO 3) Students will apply vocabulary and grammar knowledge to compose paragraphs and short texts for practical or academic purposes.
CLO 4) Students will utilize conversational French in a variety of oral activities to express personal ideas, ask and answer questions, and engage in dialogue.
CLO 5) Students will describe contemporary cultural themes from the Francophone world introduced through course materials.
CLO 6) Students will interpret researched cultural information and summarize findings in written or oral presentations.
