IT 230 - Linux Administration ** 3 Credit(s)
An introduction to Linux administration. Second of two classes required to prepare for the Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) certification (IT 130 and IT 230). Uses Red Hat Academy curriculum.
Prereqs: IT 130 with a passing grade Course Type: Lecture Tuition Tier: Tier I Delivery Method: In-Person, Remote Course Learning Outcomes: CLO 1) Students will automate installations and schedule future Linux tasks.
CLO 2) Students will manage access to files with Access Control Lists (ACLs) and SELinux security.
CLO 3) Students will configure disks, partitions, file systems, and Logical Volume Management (LVM).
CLO 4) Students will provide network storage and manage DNS for servers.
CLO 5) Students will troubleshoot the boot process and manage IPv6 networking.
CLO 6) Students will write BASH scripts and configure Apache web service.
