LIT 215 - Introduction to Poetry 3 Credit(s)
A close study of poetry with special emphasis on the varieties of poetic form and the means of interpretation and evaluation. The works studied will be international in nature and from at least three different centuries.

CLO 2) Students will explore how poets bring their cultural background to bear on their art.
CLO 3) Students will reconcile diverse opinions and reactions, while using standard academic sources that support interpretive stances.
CLO 4) Students will reflect the varying perspectives on events both globally and locally as reflected in literature.
