This class focuses on the pervading influence of Western mythological traditions in literature and culture.
Prereqs: ENG 101 or ENG 102 with a passing grade Course Type: Lecture Tuition Tier: Base Delivery Method: In-Person, Remote Course Learning Outcomes: CLO 1) Students will analyze the use of mythological elements in contemporary fiction.
CLO 2) Students will evaluate the reinterpretation of myth in modern forms of performance, including film, television, and visual art.
CLO 3) Students will interpret and respond to literary texts through formal and informal written analysis.
CLO 4) Students will demonstrate knowledge of a range of writers and texts that engage with mythological themes.
CLO 5) Students will present critical or creative insights about mythology in fiction, film, art, or literary criticism.
