Builds on knowledge gained in NUR 124 . Students plan, administer, and evaluate nursing care to patients in medical-surgical and obstetric units in area hospitals/healthcare facilities and in the simulation setting.
Prereqs: NUR 104 , BIO 261 , & BIO 261L Co-reqs: NUR 253 & NUR 263 Course Type: Clinical Tuition Tier: Tier III Delivery Method: In-Person Course Learning Outcomes: CLO 1) Students will apply the Clinical Judgment Measurement Model in the clinical setting to medium acuity patient needs.
CLO 2) Students will perform interventions safely in the clinical setting.
CLO 3) Students will participate in interdisciplinary patient care.
CLO 4) Students will perform professionally within ethical and legal guidelines in the clinical setting.
CLO 5) Students will utilize informatics and technology to provide and document patient care and health care management.
