SPN 202 - Spanish Conversation & Composition 4 Credit(s)
Intensive one-semester course focusing on conversational skills, grammar review and composition. Exploration of role of Hispanic world.
Prereqs: SPN 201 or two years minimum high school language study. A grade of C or better in the prerequisite course is recommended. Course Type: Lecture Tuition Tier: Base Delivery Method: In-Person, Remote Course Learning Outcomes: CLO 1) Students will recognize key vocabulary and grammatical structures needed to describe and narrate in Spanish.
CLO 2) Students will understand cultural perspectives from Spanish-speaking countries through discussions of short readings and classroom activities.
CLO 3) Students will apply listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills to perform basic communicative tasks in Spanish.
CLO 4) Students will develop short compositions in Spanish that describe people, places, and events using present and past tenses.
CLO 5) Studnts will utilize appropriate vocabulary and sentence structures to sustain conversations in predictable situations.
CLO 6) Students will identify similarities and differences between Spanish-speaking cultures and the student’s own.
