Reading and discussion of various short selections and at least one complete work in original Spanish.
Prereqs: SPN 201 or two years of high school Spanish. Course Type: Lecture Tuition Tier: Base Delivery Method: In-Person, Online Course Learning Outcomes: CLO 1) Students will convert short selections from original Spanish texts with attention to both meaning and structure.
CLO 2) Students will interpret Spanish texts to locate key information and general ideas efficiently.
CLO 3) Students will tabulate the meaning of unfamiliar Spanish words using context clues.
CLO 4) Students will identify the author’s point of view in various Spanish readings.
CLO 5) Students will summarize the main ideas and supporting details from short Spanish literary selections.
CLO 6) Students will discuss Spanish texts using relevant vocabulary and personal interpretation.
