MDA 107 - Medical Specialties 3 Credit(s)
In this course students will learn about advanced procedures, testing and examinations in relation to specialty practice. Additionally, students will learn aspects of patient education and aging related changes in relation to the specialty practice.
Prereqs: MDA 104 Co-reqs: MDA 117 Course Type: Combo Tuition Tier: Tier I Delivery Method: In-Person Course Learning Outcomes: CLO 1) Students will describe the structure and function of the various body systems.
CLO 2) Students will compare lifespan changes in relation to the various body systems.
CLO 3) Students will discuss common chronic and acute conditions of the various body systems.
CLO 4) Students will describe examinations, procedures and tests as related to the various body systems.
CLO 5) Students will discuss patient education as related to the specialties of various body systems.
CLO 6) Students will utilize common medical abbreviations and symbols.
