This course focuses on the installation, connection, and finishing of plumbing fixtures in residential, commercial, and industrial settings. Students will learn how to properly set, secure, and connect fixtures such as sinks, toilets, tubs, showers, faucets, and appliances to water supply and drainage systems. Emphasis is placed on code compliance, safety practices, material selection, and the aesthetic aspects of finishing work. Hands‑on training will prepare students to deliver professional‑quality installations that meet both functional and visual standards.
Prereqs: PLB 110 Course Type: Lecture Tuition Tier: Tier I Delivery Method: In-Person Course Learning Outcomes: CLO 1) Student will explain the types, functions, and installation requirements of common plumbing fixtures.
CLO 2) Student will interpret plumbing codes and standards related to fixture installation and finishing.
CLO 3) Student will select appropriate tools, materials, and fittings for fixture installation.
CLO 4) Student will install and connect fixtures to water supply and drainage systems following industry best practices.
CLO 5) Student will apply finishing techniques to ensure fixtures are properly aligned, sealed, and aesthetically pleasing.
CLO 6) Student will troubleshoot and repair common fixture installation problems such as leaks, misalignment, and improper connections.
