IT 235 - Automation & Configuration Management **

This course introduces students to IT automation and configuration management with a primary focus on Ansible. Students will learn to automate system administration tasks, manage infrastructure as code, and deploy scalable, repeatable configurations across enterprise environments. Through a combination of lectures, hands-on labs, and project-based assessments, students will gain practical skills in modern automation tools and apply their knowledge to real-world cloud infrastructure scenarios-as well as preparing them to take the Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) certification.

Course Learning Outcomes:
CLO 1) Students will apply automation techniques using Ansible to manage system configurations and administrative tasks across enterprise environments.

CLO 3) Students will discuss infrastructure as code principles and their role in modern IT and DevOps workflows.
