NPN 171 - Practical Nursing Across the Lifespan II Clinical 0 Credit(s)
Builds on knowledge gained in NPN 122 - Practical Nursing Across the Lifespan I Clinical. Students plan, administer, and evaluate care to patients in medical-surgical units in area hospitals/healthcare facilities and in the simulation setting.
Prereqs: NPN 102 Co-reqs: NPN 151 & NPN 161 Course Type: Clinical Tuition Tier: Tier III Delivery Method: In-Person Course Learning Outcomes: CLO 1) Students will demonstrate therapeutic communication and cultural considerations in providing holistic care to diverse populations.
CLO 2) Students will apply the Clinical Judgement Measurement Model to assigned patients in the clinical setting to medium acuity patient needs.
CLO 3) Students will perform interventions safely in the clinical setting.
CLO 4) Students will participate in interdisciplinary patient care.
CLO 5) Students will perform professionally within ethical and legal guidelines in the clinical setting.
CLO 6) Students will utilize informatics and technology to enhance patient care and health care management.
