Students plan, administer, and evaluate nursing care to patients in long term care in area healthcare facilities and in the simulation setting.
Prereqs: NPN 100 & NPN 101 Co-reqs: NPN 102 & NPN 112 Course Type: Clinical Tuition Tier: Tier III Delivery Method: In-Person Course Learning Outcomes: CLO 1) Students will demonstrate therapeutic communication and cultural considerations in providing holistic care.
CLO 2) Students will apply the Clinical Judgement Measurement Model to assigned patients in the clinical setting to low acuity patient needs.
CLO 3) Students will perform interventions safely in the clinical setting.
CLO 4) Students will participate in interdisciplinary patient care.
CLO 5) Students will perform professionally within ethical and legal guidelines in the clinical setting.
CLO 6) Students will utilize informatics and technology to provide and document patient care and health care management.
