Builds on foundational knowledge gained in NPN 161 - Practical Nursing Across the Lifespan II Laboratory. Students gain comprehensive knowledge and ability to safely and accurately perform nursing skills in a safe learning environment using multi-media, textbooks, self-direction, demonstrations, and lab staff assistance. Included: communication, skills from the previous terms, and comprehensive medication math. Theory topics are reinforced through hands-on application.

Course Learning Outcomes:
CLO 1) Students will demonstrate proficiency in the management of a patient using theory and skill application, effective communication using the SBAR model, and skills from the previous terms.
CLO 2) Students will demonstrate proficiency in comprehensive medication mathematics skills and medication administration.
CLO 3) Students will incorporate theoretical nursing knowledge into the hands-on application of nursing skills using the Clinical Judgment Measurement Model.
