Students plan, administer, and evaluate nursing care to patients in medical-surgical units in area hospitals/healthcare facilities and in the simulation setting.
Prereqs: Admission into the ADN program, & BIO 260L Co-reqs: NUR 103 & NUR 113 Course Type: Clinical Tuition Tier: Tier III Delivery Method: In-Person Course Learning Outcomes: CLO 1) Students will apply the Clinical Judgment Measurement Model in the clinical setting to low acuity patient needs.
CLO 2) Students will perform interventions safely in the clinical setting.
CLO 3) Students will participate in interdisciplinary patient care.
CLO 4) Students will perform professionally within ethical and legal guidelines in the clinical setting.
CLO 5) Students will utilize informatics and technology to provide and document patient care and health care management.
CLO 6) Students will demonstrate therapeutic communication and cultural considerations in providing holistic care.
