OTA 125 - Occupation Based Activities I 0 Credit(s)
Introduction of occupation-based activities and the essential role occupation plays in the delivery of occupational therapy services. Primary emphasis is on the Occupational Therapy Practice Framework and its application in activity analysis and implementation of services.
Co-reqs: OTA 105 & OTA 115 Course Type: Clinical Tuition Tier: Tier II Delivery Method: In-Person Course Learning Outcomes: CLO 1) Students will develop and demonstrate effective interviewing and communication skills using oral, written, and nonverbal methods in both clinical and non-clinical settings.
CLO 2) Students will exhibit professional behaviors, ethical conduct, and core values of occupational therapy in all teaching-learning and professional interactions.
CLO 3) Students will identify and apply safety protocols and procedures across diverse occupational therapy settings.
CLO 4) Students will access, interpret, and utilize current occupational therapy literature and other relevant resources to present information and compare professional roles across practice settings.
