EDU 287 - Teaching Professional with Field Experience

This course includes a minimum of 40 hours of school field experience in a variety of accredited PK-12 classroom(s) that provide opportunities to observe and contribute to teaching and learning. These field experiences facilitate pre-service teachers’ understanding of effective teaching in addition to their development of skills related to observation, instruction, and reflection. It is required that you have fully obtained your substitute certification with DESE the semester before taking the class.

CLO 1) Students will analyze instructional strategies, classroom management techniques, and learning environments.   (MTS/MIPEC 2A4, 5A1, 5A2)

CLO 3) Students will describe the characteristics and expectations of the teaching profession, including ethical responsibilities and certification requirements.  (MTS/MIPEC 7A5, 8A1, 8A3)
