NUR 276 - Advanced Professional Nursing Across the Lifespan III Clinical 0 Credit(s)
Builds on knowledge gained in NUR 275 . Students plan, administer, and evaluate nursing care to patients in critical care units in area hospitals/healthcare facilities. In addition to the care of the complex client, students will be introduced to the charge nurse role during this clinical rotation. Students plan, administer, and evaluate nursing care to a complex group of patients in the simulation setting.
Prereqs: NUR 255 Co-reqs: NUR 256 & NUR 266 Course Type: Clinical Tuition Tier: Tier III Delivery Method: In-Person Course Learning Outcomes: CLO 1) Students will participate in interdisciplinary patient care.
CLO 2) Students will perform interventions safely in the clinical setting.
CLO 3) Students will apply the Clinical Judgment Measurement Model in the clinical setting to complex acuity patient needs.
CLO 4) Students will perform professionally within ethical and legal guidelines in the clinical setting.
CLO 5) Students will demonstrate therapeutic communication and cultural considerations in providing holistic care to patients, families, and diverse populations.
CLO 6) Students will utilize informatics and technology to enhance patient care and health care management.
CLO 7) Students will organize care to a group of patients taking into consideration appropriate delegation and prioritization of patient needs.
