NUR 114 - Professional Nursing Across the Lifespan I Lab 0 Credit(s)
Builds on knowledge gained in NUR 113 . Students gain comprehensive knowledge and ability to safely and accurately perform nursing skills in a safe learning environment using multi-media, textbooks, self-direction, demonstrations, and lab staff assistance. Included: medication administration synthesis, gastrointestinal tubes, ostomy care, central line care, skills from the previous semester, and intermediate medication math. Theory topics are reinforced through hands-on application.
Prereqs: NUR 103 & PSY 101 Co-reqs: NUR 104 & NUR 124 Course Type: Lab Tuition Tier: Tier III Delivery Method: In-Person Course Learning Outcomes: CLO 1) Students will demonstrate proficiency in the following nursing skills: medication administration synthesis, gastrointestinal tubes, ostomy care, central line care, and skills from the previous semester.
CLO 2) Students will demonstrate hands-on application of of nursing skills, incorporating theoretical nursing knowledge and the Clinical Judgment Measurement Model.
CLO 3) Students will demonstrate proficiency in intermediate medication mathematics skills and medication administration.
