NUR 274 - Professional Nursing Across Lifespan III Clinical 0 Credit(s)
Builds on knowledge gained in NUR 273 . Students plan, administer, and evaluate nursing care to multiple complex patients in medical-surgical units in area hospitals/healthcare facilities and in the simulation setting. Preceptorship provides transition between student and practitioner.
Prereqs: NUR 253 Co-reqs: NUR 254 & NUR 264 Course Type: Clinical Tuition Tier: Tier III Delivery Method: In-Person Course Learning Outcomes: CLO 1) Students will apply the Clinical Judgment Measurement Model in the clinical setting to complex patient needs.
CLO 2) Students will perform interventions safely in the clinical setting.
CLO 3) Students will coordinate interdisciplinary care in the clinical setting.
CLO 4) Students will perform professionally within ethical and legal guidelines in the clinical setting.
CLO 5) Students will utilize informatics and technology to enhance patient care and health care management.
CLO 6) Students will demonstrate therapeutic communication and cultural considerations in providing holistic care to diverse populations.
