SRT 205 - Surgical Techniques III 12 Credit(s)
This course integrates complex surgical technology principles in the intraoperative and postoperative phases including sterile field management, wound care, and assistant circulator duties during specialized surgical procedures across multiple medical specialties. This course builds on the content learned in Surgical Techniques II. Included in this course is hands-on application in the lab environment to provide practical skills training for surgical technologist procedures and techniques.

CLO 2) Students will demonstrate proficiency in assistant circulator duties and postoperative patient care protocols.
CLO 3) Students will apply wound management and specimen care strategies used in the surgical setting.
CLO 4) Students will discuss patient care interventions, procedural techniques, and surgical technology applications.
