OTA 126 - Occupation Based Activities II 0 Credit(s)
Builds on foundational skills and concepts of occupation-based activities and the essential role occupation plays in the delivery of occupational therapy services. The Occupational Therapy Practice Framework and its focus on activity analysis is the basis of practical application for assessment and intervention in clinical and nonclinical settings.
Prereqs: OTA 105 , OTA 115 , & OTA 125 with a passing grade (75% or higher for each) Co-reqs: OTA 106 & OTA 116 Course Type: Clinical Tuition Tier: Tier II Delivery Method: In-Person Course Learning Outcomes: CLO 1) Students will develop and demonstrate effective assessment and intervention skills to promote increased independence in occupational performance.
CLO 2) Students will exhibit professional behavior while implementing teaching-learning activities that promote health literacy across diverse community settings.
CLO 3) Students will demonstrate accurate and effective communication using oral, written, and nonverbal methods in both clinical and non-clinical environments.
CLO 4) Students will apply safe practices, proper body mechanics, and ethical standards by utilizing occupational therapy literature and demonstrating the OT Code of Ethics, core values, and professional attitudes.
